About WinterSun
WinterSun is a national competition and welcomes athletes from all over Australia.
​
WinterSun is a Champ Series event providing skaters the opportunity to achieve or improve their national and international benchmark scores used for qualifying for the Australian Figure Skating Championships (AFSC) and International Competition assignments.
​
Unlike most local competitions, Champ Series events provide skaters an Official Practice, usually held on the same day as the competition. This is only applicable to AFSC Level categories.

WinterSun includes the following categories:
Aussie Skate - AS 5/6 - Free Skate 4
Singles - Preliminary - Senior
Adult Singles:- Pewter - Masters Elite
Pairs - All levels
Ice Dance - All levels
Solo Ice Dance - All levels
Solo Ice Dance - Adults all levels
ISA Artistic - As per Announcement

The WinterSun Cup perpetual trophy will be awarded by the Judges for an outstanding performance of either the short or free program, in the Intermediate Novice to Senior Singles Divisions for Queensland Competitions only.
​
The WinterSun Cup will be retained by the Iceworld Figure Skating Club Inc. and will be engraved with the winner's name and year. An individual trophy will be awarded to the winner to take home.
